Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G leaked design; Here’s a first look

Following the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G (previously released with the Exynos 990), we saw mention of its successor on a leaked Samsung product roadmap. And now, we have the first look at the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G, which will launch on August 19, according to the leaked roadmap.

Leaked by reputable insider OnLeaks (via Voice), the report includes some images of the device and some details about its screen, cameras, and construction. So, here’s a first look at the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G, where the nickname “FE” stands for “Fan Edition.”

The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G (leaked)

Now, at first glance, the Galaxy S21 FE 5G looks a lot like the Galaxy S21. However, unlike the S21’s camera bump that sticks out of the device’s metal frame, the S21 FE’s camera bump sticks out of its rear panel. Also, the latter is planned to have a larger 6.4-inch screen compared to the 6.2-inch screen on the S21. And it is “probable” that comes with a glass back panel, according to OnLeaks.

Speaking of the screen, it will feature a single hole drilled at the top for the selfie camera. This is what Samsung likes to call an Infinity-O display.

As for the rear camera setup, the Galaxy S21 FE is intended to feature a triple camera setup on the back. This, according to the report, will be similar to the Galaxy S21 standard. Due to their low price, the company is likely to go for low-end lenses, according to the report.

Also, not much is known about its internals at this time. All we know is that the Galaxy S21 FE will possibly be sold in 128 / 256GB storage variants and will likely come in four color options: white, purple, pink, and gray / silver.

Galaxy S21 FE 5G price and availability (rumored)

Samsung launched its predecessor, the Galaxy S20 FE, at $ 699 last year. Its price / performance ratio was the main reason for the popularity of the Android phone in the market.

So if Samsung follows the same strategy with the upcoming Galaxy FE smartphone, it could be, according to OnLeaks, “One of the most popular smartphones of the year.” All we have to do now is wait for Samsung to officially unveil the device at one of its “Unpacked” events in the coming weeks.
